Church Burglar At Large After Stealing Cash From Donation Box On Long Island

If you recognize this sticky-fingered bandit, police want to hear from you.

Nassau County Police said a man broke into Franklin Square’s St. Catherine of Sienna Church, located on Holzheimer Street, shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.

After forcing open a locked basement door, the man pried his way into a donation box and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Police described the suspect as a Black man, approximately 5-foot-10 with a thin build. He was wearing a white hat with a blue brim, brown sweater, black pants, and a black face mask.
